Just thought I would share a little. I went in for a pacemaker/icd check on Wednesday. It went really well. The pacemaker visit was the positive note in my doctor's visits on Wed. I do have the recalled leads in my device. I was told that mine are in really good shape. Yay! I need that. I told her about my friends on DS who were shocked needlessly because of defected leads. She said "Don't think about it" but you know that I will keep up with it. I do have an alarm that is supposed to go off if the leads start to act up. I only had AF for a few seconds from time to time and no ventricular problems this time. My device also shows fluid overload. I am in a study to get this FDA approved to alert me when fluid gets to a level to be treated. I would like to be able to use this feature. Right now I have to rely on how I feel and the scales. The battery is still ok, but will probably need to be replaced on a year or two. Well, I just wanted to share my information with you all. Please share you information too

" Thanks for the great update. We love to hear positive news! I'm glad you are doing well.

I'm doing well. Still no AFib (2.5 yrs) and I still have more energy...since my badycardia is taken care of by the pacemaker.

Take care,
Sue "

" Glad to hear the good news. I didn't know they had a pacemaker that could tell if you have fluid build up. I wish they would get that FDA approved soon.
I go April 2nd for an echo. Hopefully my EF has improved. Whether the number goes up or not I feel better. I will keep you posted when I get the results.
How is your mom doing sb57? "
