My sister went for her four month check up with her oncologist yesterday, and to get the results of her CAT scan.
There is another mass ... 3 cm x 3 cm x 2 cm x 7 cm, with fluid present. Of course we're trying not to think the worst, but all of us - obviously mostly her of course - are scared. The doc wants a follow-up, so she needs to wait for that appointment. Hopefully she won't have to wait too long. Sorry to here of the recurrence. I have been dealing with this for almost 2 years...but did have a nice 3+ year No Evidence of Disease period after my initial diagnosis/surgery/treatments. This is being treated now as a chronic disease...with treatment being there for people who need to keep it stable and under control.
I think that after the initial "OH NO!" I was, and am, more able to handle this with a little less fear. I hope this will be the same for your sis and you and the rest of the family. many hugs, lindmae
