My Sister in law was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer stage 3 in jan 2008. Suregery followed by chemo was done. for abt 6 months.
Recently she developed lump in her armpit...looks like lymph nodes are affected...please guide is to some great hospital her ein US. She lives in India....but will travel here to seek medial help....not sure what to do ...we are shattered... Posted on 06/10/09, 10:06 pm |

I live in Indiana and I asked my doctor here about second opinions. He said that he would send me either to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York (http://www.mskcc.org/mskcc/html/44.cfm) or to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN (http://www.mayoclinic.org/). I'm sure there are other good places in the US such as MD Anderson in Houston, TX and elsewhere but I hope these ideas give you a starting point. I send good wishes to your sister and family, Janet

I don't know what area of the country you live but we brought my mother to Atlanta to the Southeastern Oncology Center. They are doing amazing research and having a great success! I highly recommend Dr. Gerald Feuer and Dr. Benigo. They are amazing. Actually, anyone in their group is great.

Thx Susan. ...The Doc in India has recommended 6 more weeks of Chemo. of following MEdication:
Cisplatin 100 mg Adriamycin 80mg Cyclophosphamide 1000mg Is there some place that I can send her latest diagnosis and report to get a second opinion given taht she is not in the US at this time?
