I finished carbo/platin chemo 7 weeks ago, and now it looks like I will need to start Doxil for rising CA 125.

I need all the information I can get about this drug.

Do you lose your hair from it, does it cause nausea, do you need to do 6 cycles, does it wreck the blood counts, namely white blood cells, does it make you sick for days, fatigue, neuropathy (and what about hand/foot syndrome?)

I have just begun growing my hair and am thrilled to see some sprout. Will it all fall out yet again? Will my eyelashes and brows fall out also (they've just grown back).

I'm very upset about needing more chemo.

" I wish you didn't need to have more chemo. I know there are many on this site who are currently on Doxil but I have not had it as yet so I can't comment on your questions. Some here have had a similar path of going straight from carbo/taxol to doxil. I just wanted to respond and to send you my best wishes that this new treatment knocks out the cancer. Many hugs, Janet "

" So sorry you have to start so soon.. I have just had my second doxil and I have to say that so far it has been a walk in the park.. no side effects.. apart from sleeping lots. My hair is firmly stuck in place.. and no nausea even.. Feels strange after the platin/taxol.. which was so tough for me.. I hope it is the same for you.. I don't have much time on this computer as I am away from home and I will get in touch with you when I get back..

Best wishes to you.. love and hugs.. Inka xxx "
