Hello ,
I need some information about CA 125 .
In Septemer ( at the end of Sept. )I had breast cancer surgery .
My CA 125 was at that time 425 - started having bad pain in my overies .
I have " not simple cycts " on both of my overies .
Last week my C 125 went up to 1100 . This is in the last 4 weeks .
Going for the MRI next week .
Do you know what could cause the big jump in the CA 125 ?

" Hi, Maxine, I was diagnosed with both ovarian cancer and endometrial cancer in August. I had surgery but the tumor was too large to get all of it. I am halfway through chemo (4 cycles of 3 weeks each). I have lost my hair but have a wig that looks better than my hair. I was scared of the chemo but the only problem that I have had is fatigue on days 3 & 4 after the treatment. I am working the days that I don't have chemo. I know that it is scary - I still won't ask my doctor what my prognosis is - but I am living a full life even through treatment. The people here have made it possible for me to express how I am feeling to people who understand. I feel a lot better now that the effects of the surgery are over. "

" Dear Maxine
I know that the CA test is highly sensitive. When I first experienced abdominal pain and was diagnosed with ovca, my levels were at 7500. Then they dropped to 1500 after surgery. I`ve been on chemo, every other week, for the past 16 months and they`ve been stable at 20 since March '09. Please keep us posted. Good luck!
xxLinda "
