" Hi Rachel, I'm not positive but I think that even with one ovary you can expect a monthly period as menses are controlled by hormones although with one ovary you may only ovulate every other month. Have you talked to your doc about this? S/he would be the best person to tell you what to expect. All the best! "

" I'm with Lynnsis I don't think you'll get off the hook that easy. My mother wasn't suppose to have any children at all and she got pregnant 15 times and had 11 kids. After five she had a tubal pregancy and they said no more. After that six more. After six kids my dad got hit and lost one testical and they said no more kids and he had five more. Stay healthy that's what matters. Read up on all the toxins especially biotoxins (mold and Lyme disease etc) processed foods and metals in your teeth and vaccinations. "

" Hi Rachel, I was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer, ovary and tube removed at 19yrs old, and intensive chemotherapy followed. I was advised I'd never have kids and my periods would be erratic. Periods sadly returned heavier than ever after about 4months and had my baby girl in 2005(conceived and delivered naturally albeit painfully!)
Hang in there and just believe! "

" I'm down to one too! I asked my doc about this one and she said the remaining ovary will take over the work of both. Your fertitily chances, periods and all that should be unchanged, assuming the remaining ovary is functioning normally. "
