Listen, I am no diet expert via book learning, but I am a person who has always been thin....I am able to melt pounds off at will. I have a method that works for me and that is to deal with hunger pangs with black coffee with no sugar....I only drink sips at a time and nurse it all day, many times drinking cold coffee. I only drink chilled water and will force an occasional fruit yogurt or lunch meat without bread or leftover veggies. Because I eat so little, I am able to binge every few days on some rich dessert to beat the blues. I'm just telling you what has been succesful for me and do not profess to be advising any type of health smart remedy. I need the cigs at the beginning and taper down as the weight comes off! lol. You won't find this advice in any diet book, I'm sure!

Hello Tania,
I am a care giver for a lady age 63, now overweight and she has congestive heart failure. At one time a few years earlier she was quite overweight. When told by her cardiologist about his diagnosis she lost approximately 60 lbs in a space of 4-5 months. Too much too soon I think. Subsequently she has gained it all back. Now weighs 200 lbs. She also has diabetes. To start, I would think you would want to begin a lifestyle of weight shedding beginning yesterday. Also think you might wish to have a blood sugar scan to see if you have pre-diabetes or in fact diabetes type ll. The blood pressure numbers you offered are too high as you know. That is considered much cause for concern. Normally anything above a resting BP of 140/90 is concerning. You should be aware of your cholesterol levels also. Attempt to speak with a registered dietician for diet control. Fad diets can be hazardous. Self control is dificult I know. But I hope you try. Attempt to discover the stresses in your life and eliminate them as best you can. Me? age 71, diabetes, malignant melanoma (cured, maybe) and emphysema. Previous silent infarct 35 years ago. Many blessings to you with my best wishes, gentlemike Hoping to cheer you: Doctor: I have some bad news and some very bad news. Patient: Well, might as well give me the bad news first. Doctor: The lab called with your test results. They said you have 24 hours to live. Patient: 24 hours! That's terrible! What could be worse? What's the very bad news? Doctor: I've been trying to reach you since yesterday.
