Hey everyone, since my doctor is out of town, I figured I would ask a question here, see if anyone has dealt with anything similar to my situation right now.
As far as background goes, Im a 25 year old white male, smoker for 12 years, and a huge caffeine addict. I have irregular sleeping patterns and anxiety. Fun stuff, heh. The past week or two I have also been drinking more alcohol than normal, more pop, and less and less water or milk. For the past 3 days, I have been feeling a sort of pinch, not painful, more of a very small piece of pressure, about the size of a dime, right under my left peck. It is not constant, and does not make me wince, but I can definately feel it when it happens. If I take a deep breath in, I dont feel it all the time. My heart rate seems steady, and I am not nauseous, nor running a fever. I know the pancreas is int he upper left of the torso as well. I cannot tell if it is my heart, or the pancreas, or a muscle, since my heart is in that area, of course I am freaking out thinking it might be that, or the pancreas as well. Does anyone know what this is? I feel it more often if I am reclined in a chair, rather than walking around or standing straight. It worries me because even though I have a doc, I do not have insurance at the moment, and having tests would cost way too much. Anyone have an idea what this may be? Thanks for any answers you can share! Posted on 07/12/09, 07:07 am |

Isnt that where your gall bladder is? Could it be gall stones?

No, the gall baldder is in the right upper quadrant attached to the posterior (back) of the liver. If you're feeling it when you breathe in it could be lungs. It sounds to high up to be the pancreas, the pancreas is in th eleft upper quadrant of the abdomen with the stomach. Have you been coughing anything up, or have you noticed any irregualr breathing or noises when you breathe like whistling.
