You would think so, wouldnt you" But all that I got was renal failure and high diabetic sugars because they took my diabetic meds away. Now i have to go as an outpatient to a diabetic clinic and probably start on insulin and get to see a kidney specialist... nice eh?huggs Joanne :)

Yay truly joyful for you. NOT!!! Did you know when I was in the hospital right after Christmas they had diagnosed me with Diabetes too? They put me on Metformin. But my doctor is not really sure she would diagnose me as diabetic, because my numbers are really borderline. She does still have me on the med because it can benefit me in other areas of the illnesses that I have. She thinks my numbers were so high then because of the amount of salumeterol (sp?) I was on. (steroid) Who knows??? Little scary though. Hugs! JoAnn

Yes, it is very scary Breatheasy. Be careful of the metformin. That is what they took me off of because it is really hard on the kidneys and caused me renal faiure. It can be good for some things and for some things not. I hope your sugars are low enough you dont have to stay on them. Joanne :)
