I have wpw. It is a heart disorder that i guess i was born with and never knew i had until now. from what they say it is the disorder that causes high school football players to fall over dead during a game. i am restricted right now on my workouts.
what it is is... the pace maker sends electrical volts through out the heart through this one passage way. it first its the top two compartments of the heart and that is how you get the bah in the bah boom sound of a heart beat. then it travels through this passage way to the bottom of the heart and hits the bottom two compartments and (boom) then just disapates at the bottom. i have an extra passage way so instead of it disapating at the bottom of the heart it circles round and round.... making my heart race. then sometimes it makes palpatations to catch up with the heart beats... it can cause sudden death or an heart attack. any of you have this? it is causing my anxiety attacks... im afraid of dying. i just had a new born and i have a five year old... well not afraid but just not ready. i want to live to an old age and be with my husband and children as long as i can. How frightening for you. I do wish I could offer words of wisdom. Hopefully, someone else who knows about it will answer this post. I can pray for you, your husband and your babies. I also have a pacemaker, but no one has mentioned this to me. I have never heard of that before. Is there not a heart hospital around you that could help you out? I am sure if they explained it to you, it wouldnt be so frightening for you. I give yu all my thoughts and love. I am sure you will get well... what about a pacemaker clinic?
