Where is everyone? Every time I come in here, there is no change. Is this support group closed? I have questions and need support. Does no one else?

" HI Kev. Nice to see you. I think DS just has the two groups. I don't know why they have two, it's kind of confusing. I guess because there are so many different types of heart problems. But to me, thats is ok. I like to learn about what others have. I think it even gives me a greater understanding of hour the heart works and how everything works together. Anyway, welcome. However, it is not much more, if any more active than the other board. Which is an even better reason to combine them. Oh well....who am I to say anything. LOL. Hugs to All. JOAnn "

" I think it is something an administrator for DS would have to do. KevK, you seem to belong to several, (I read on one of your other posts) what do you think? Are they all slow like these two are? "

" well, I dont know why it is such an in active group either. I think it would be nice to just get to know one another and hear their stories. I also had mitral valve replacement surgury and I am diabetic. It has not been a good experience. Perhaps we could talk about things that affect our hearts some way
If anyonne says anyting, I also will reply. Dont be shy. Lets get yakking. Joanne :) "

" I joined DS about two years ago, This is pretty much the same. I belong to four heart groups and I know there are more. I only see a few people who post. A lot of people get support from reading our posts. I know I done it for years before I ever posted, My spelling skills or lack of skills I should say kept me from saying much.

The hardest thing that we have to deal with is we all have serious health problems. I made a few friends who vanished all with heart failure. I do not know where they gone to but they have been gone for over a year

Wish you all Good Luck and have a good heart day ! "

" Hi Jo...Here's to you a fantastic survivor. Stay the positive person you have always been and your "heart and lungs" will always support you.

This is my update for all on this post :

I had Open Heart Aortic Valve Replacement surgery 3 months ago. This was a major surgery,as most people know. The surgery went well (7 Hrs),however the recovery was demanding and 4 days in ICU. I was released after 7 days in the hospital. I then received 3 weeks of in home therapy and nursing care. I felt very weak for 4 to 6 weeks after surgery. It was not until I started Cardiac Rehab,at 8 weeks that I felt stronger. the Cardiac Rehab was a big help for me,providing mental and phyical strength. Now, I feel normal in strength at the end of 36 Rehab Sessions.I'm very happy that I had a "strong minded" Cardiologist that would not let me "talk myself" out of having this surgery. I probably would not be here to write this comment.
