Other Heart Problems Support Group

I guess this is a group that just gets very little activity. I was wondering the same thing once when I posted and didn't get a response for a while.

I wonder why this is?

I know for me....I haven't even been diagnosed yet....still struggling to get medical care...so I certainly can not give loads of feedback on other people's heart conditions.

So what IS the reason we are less active here?

holidays maybe ?

It's not because of the holiday's...this place got little activity before the holiday's and other groups here are moving still.

Maybe we need to show a little cleavage or something? ;o)

I NEED HELP!!! Just got home from the Heart Clinic. I am lost. I have no idea what is
wrong with my heart, and no one is telling me
anything. Been in the hospital twice. Told
I had a minor heart attack. Told my heart
enzymes are elevated. Told I have sinus tachycardia. Told all sorts of stuff. None of it leads to the UNDERLYING CAUSE. No one
seems to know the cause of my heart problems.
Not very comforting. This has been going on for weeks; and I actually know nothing.
Finally, today I get into see an actual Cardiologist. Throwing out all previous tests and reports and doing their very own
tests and making their very own determinations. More tests?? More weeks of not knowing?? What the He**?

This group does not seem to get the activity that others do, but please do share and I'll try and respond the best I can. I have gone through aortic valve surgery, while being diabetic, after some rather unpleasant consequences. Yet I have maintained a mostly positive outlook since then. I do talk to heart patients here in my local area, and am trying to bring a chapter of mended hearts here to spend volunteer hours in the hospital. If you live in a metro area then you may be able to get support from the local mended hearts chapter. IF not they do have a web site. It is completely run by people like us, those that have lived through the heart diseases and problems, and want to give to others to help their recovery and live more normal lives.

Just FYI, for those of you who do want to participate in an active heart group, there is the one titled Heart Failure too. Although, I am not sure that it is much more active than this one is??? JOAnn
