can't find reason for this happening

I don't smoke ciggarettes anymore but when I did inhale tobacco smoke distant objects would become double--like double vision. I had an MRI, an Ultra Sound, Cardiac stress test, and complete blood test and there are no indications what might cause those double vision experiences. That double vision rarely happens other than when I inhale tobacco smoke. The other day I thought I would try a cigarette after not smoking for a long time to see if it still happens and sure enough the double vision of distant objects happened. Anyone know why that might be happening.
