Can Amblyopia (Lazy Eye) cause double vision?

" from what we have learned from our daughter's opthomologist--yes, lazt eye can cause double vision. They are telling us it could cause blindness if not corrected or that the eye could start deviating outward more and would be more noticable to others. "

" since lazy eye causes the eye to shift from the normal possition the image will not be the same as the other eye, so double vision is a problem, and if it isnt corrected, one eye or the other will become dominant and the other weak, ultimately loosing vision. this is hereditary in my family, and it can be corrected, if it is chronic it is worth getting permanantly fixed. (if possible to do for your situation, my sons develped from an injury to the 5th nerve, so surgery corrected the muscle alignment, he has good vision now.) "

" yes lazy eye can cause double vision i had to have an operation on both my eyes whn i was 16 to correct thm bt still get double vision.. now. so uhuh x "
