Here's what I found on vibrational therapy and the correct frequency of vibrations. It's an older article, but interesting info and based on science, so I suspect it's right.

“NASA-funded scientists suggest that astronauts might prevent bone loss by standing on a lightly vibrating plate for 10 to 20 minutes each day. Held down with the aid of elastic straps, the astronauts could keep working on other tasks while they vibrate.

The same therapy, they say, might eventually be used to treat some of the millions of people who suffer from bone loss, called osteoporosis, here on Earth.

"The vibrations are very slight," notes Stefan Judex, assistant professor of biomedical engineering at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, who worked on the research. The plate vibrates at 90 Hz (1 Hz = 1 cycle per second), with each brief oscillation imparting an acceleration equivalent to one-third of Earth's gravity. "If you touch the plate with your finger, you can feel a very slight vibration," he added. "If you watch the plate, you cannot see any vibration at all."

Although the vibrations are subtle they have had a profound effect on bone loss in laboratory animals such as turkeys, sheep, and rats.”

I have tried vibration therapy for nearly 2 years and have still lost bone and now have full blown osteoporosis. I have been using the Juvent medical device (32-37 Hz +/- 10%). It is very disappointing as it was very expensive. The company produces convincing literature and lots of medical studies to prove it can work.

Thats really interesting lynney, i just wonder how many people have had some success with this treatment,sometimes I think I will find the money and get one then I just dont know! I just hate these meds!!

lynnepin: Have you continued with the Juvent 1000 since your post? Were you using it in combination with other medication? I have been considering buying one, as I cannot tolerate other medications.

I have continued, because I have no idea if my bone density would have been even worse without it! As I have paid for this product, I see no harm in continuing to use it. I am not due another scan for a couple of years. I take a lot of supplements, do exercise, everything I can throw at this problem I have. So, as I say, disappointing results.

lynney thats so disappointing, I was hoping for good results, have you found any other advantages from it. I was wondering if it helped with circulation.

No other benefits I can say I've noticed. My circulation isn't brilliant and I haven't noticed any improvement... sorry.
I should point out that I take inhaled steroids, which can affect bone density, so maybe you would have better results. But a couple of friends in other countries use the Juvent and one has had success, the other has got considerably worse.
