Your doctor could best answer that for you. However, I do know that Vitamin D and Vitamin K2 are necessary for regulating calcium in our bodies. Somehow they let the calcium know where to go and what to do. I, too, was deficient in vitamin d. So now, I take vitamin d3, vitamin k2, calcium and magnesium, all at the same time in the morning. Then in the evening I take strontium citrate.
Once your doctor gets you on a good regimen of diet, exercise, and supplementation, hopefully you will stablize and improve. Best wishes to you.

i was low on vitamin D a couple years too. i had to sit in the sun in my bathing suit for 10 minutes a day AND take 5,000 iu's of vitaminD3 every day. it took about a year to get my D levels up to normal.

Here is a video about Vitamin D. I thought it might help you, especially since the doctor speaking works with women with osteo.
