hi peta,

i'm sleeping on a tempurrpedic mattress with a wooden board under it...supported by 4 cement blocks so i don't have any metal near me at all.

tht's wonderful you'r sleeping on one! aren't they supposed to ground you if you're sleeping on a coiled spring mattress?

Sounds like you have great sleeping support, I invested in an expensive mattress last year it is a pocket sprung one hand made using all natural fibres, except the springs of course, but it gives excellent support for the body.

I've connected my earthing sheet to a grounding rod outside. I think the sheet will ground you whatever mattress you are sleeping on although I think actual earthing beds are something that is beginning to happen. I like the sheet as you can lay on it, wrap yourself in it if feeling particularly poorly, you have to have skin contact with it, even if only your feet. I find the earthing bands good for the extra pamper care too, they work on the same principal as the sheet, the bands I ground through the earth mains usually while I have my feet up watching tv :o)

i didn't pay a huge amount for my mattress. bought it on 'overstock.com' for $395.00 and the shipping was only $3 ! it came right to my door!

i got kinda wacky about EMF's for awhile and contemplated getting one of those suits that blocks them all out. then i realized i was going over the edge! lol
