As a result of gastritis and oesophagitis, I cannot take fosomax and the like. Are there any alternatives please?

I get the yearly IV Reclast which is not processed through the gastrointestinal system. I'm sure the heartburn I now get occasionally is from what I eat rather than the Fosomax.

QueenieEJC thank you so much for reminding me of this option. When I was first diagnosed the drug was infused and as you say it bypassed the stomach. It was administered at a hospital far from where I live and as I don't drive, it was a long journey. But now that you have reminded me, I shall investigate whether that option is now offered at a hospital nearby. Brilliant!
