Advice:
liver enzyme levels up, 9 weeks since transplant

Up until this week, after having my liver transplant 9 weeks ago, my liver enzyme levels have been very low (30's and 40's). But on Thursday, they read 78 and 107. I have Hep C. So they upped my Cyclosporine a little after lowering it the week before. I'm wondering if the new reading could be just normal recovery, and not necessarily the Hep C affecting my new liver. I'm showing no signs of rejection. I'll be having labs again next Thursday, but just wondered if the ones of you who are further out from transplant than me, with Hep C, experienced high enzyme readings at times.

" which liver numbers are you talking about specifically?

If they're the LFT's then my numbers have been way higher than that for the last ten years or so!!! At least by a factor of two...

I really don't know which numbers you're referring to so I'll just wait for your response since we could be talking about two completely different readings.

Respectfully,
Henry "
