Outbreaks on my tung...is this herpes?

Uncertain about if I have herpes or not, but my symptoms are on my tung. I get a fungus like spot on my tung that last for about 2 weeks then it disappear and comes up again immediately. I been looking all over the internet for similar symptoms with no success. Went to my doctor and she believes it is herpes, so she put me on Valtrex. Its my first day on the prescription so we will see what happens. I have no pain, no discomfort, no bleeding. However, when I do kiss my girl friend she gets cold sores on on her lips, but only when I put my tung in her mouth. Is there anyone out there with similar symptoms??

I'm not an expert, but I've had MANY oral herpes outbreaks. I've never had a symptom like this - fungus like spot on tongue. Maybe different people can be affected in different ways.
Kissing has been known to trigger outbreaks in people. From what I understand, it's the pressure on the lips - kind of like being irritated by the sun which can cause outbreaks too. So, it's possible her outbreak may be more from lip irritation than your tongue spot. Just a thought. Good luck!

Thanks for you reply. I still in the mist about weather I have herpes or not. Will be going to a lab to do some testing. Hopefully I'll get an definite answer to this uncertainty.
