Ok this is a little gross but I just got a little cold sore on the corner of my mouth. Should I break it or let it just do its thing? My mom thinks it makes them heal faster if you go ahead and bust them. I don't know. I went ahead and put some Abreva on it and praying that it heals quickly! UGH I hate these things!

" Definitely leave it alone. They will heal faster if you do not break them open. Irritation can make it worse. This is my experience anyway, I have had cold sores for over 25 years... "
