Herpes?

Recently I noticed that the inside of my lip was bleeding. I don't recall biting it or poking at it with anything. There was no pain or anything. I only noticed it because i spit out blood. It was quite small and healed completely in 2 days. I read that oral herpes is not as common in the inner lip but I'm still worried. Is it possible this is herpes?

" I am no expert, but I would have to say that this does not sound like my herpes symptoms. Mine were all outside the mouth, they were sores (not just a little cut), they did not heal in 2 days-more like a week. This is just my experience, but your symptoms are not consistent with my oral herpes symptoms. "

" I also think you would have more symptoms if you were having an out break. Signs and symptoms will last 2-3 weeks. Fever, tiredness, muscle aches, and irritability may occur. Pain, burning, tingling, or itching occurs at the infection site before the sores appear. Then clusters of blisters erupt. These blisters break down rapidly and, when seen, appear as tiny, shallow, gray ulcers on a red base. A few days later, they become crusted or scabbed and appear drier and more yellow. I hope this helps and I think your ok. RG "
