Famciclovir

I've had HSV-1 since I was 10 days old. My first breakout was on my scalp. For years I had them on my mouth & sometimes hands, almost every single month. I had been on acyclovir, and it did nothing for me. When I was 13, I found out herpes had infected my eye. I had to undergo a cornea transplant with no guarantee that it wouldn't return. However, they gave me famciclovir 500mg once a day. I've been on it for 2 years, and I haven't had a single herpes outbreak since. I'm sure not everyone would have such a success story on it, but just so you know, there are other options, you just have to find the one that works for you. :)

" I used to use acyclovir cream and famcyclovir pills for it. It only help a bit though, then I heard good things about hsv-zero topical treatment, and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be work wonderfully, speeds up the healing a lot, and sometimes prevents the ob altogether for me, if I put it on when I feel it's coming. "
