I am very adamit about her having Bipolar due to all her symptoms the Dr now today says maybe ODD! and that theres no meds fof it! We have done Ritalin, Prozac, Conserta, Welbutrin, and now ordered Stratera. Im very upset and fell im losing my mind at home. I feel im at a breaking point! there have been times i want to just walk out the door and be alone a few hrs because i feel i cant take anymore! Please help i want treatment that works so we can live a healthy life!

" Well 1st of all, stay calm and know you are not alone. And there is not meds for ODD but there is meds for her moods and they can help. also therapy, for your child and you, there are behavioral tools you can use, if you are not happy with your docter then find another,, and a good evalution takes a long time, do not go off a first time visit dx, docters need to look at history and do test,, and it takes time,, but while you are waiting you can get her into thera[py and you too so you can learn how to parent her,, and live with her, taking care of you and not getting stressed out wich is very hard not to do will help,. a strict routine and strict consequences and not gettign wrapped up in her fights will help, the sooner you get the right help and a support system in place thr better chance she will have of learnign coping skills to use and having a plan in place,, for when she starts to feel ,like she cannot handle something,, hang in there,, "

" I have a son with very similar issues, he is on completely different meds than yours. I do know that if a child has Bipolar disorder that stimulants actually make their bipolar issues worse. Just a thought, I took my son off all stimulants and there were many improvements, he is now on Abilify, Trileptal and Guanfacine. The first two are really good mood stabalizers and Gaunfacine acts as kinda a booster to certain meds. Hope things get better for you, we are actually on kinda a slippery slope right, ine has outgrown his dosages. "
