Can anyone tell me if odd is hereditary or not ?

My husband has some of the same symptoms as my son witch has odd and so does his grandfather. Is this just coincidence or what ? My husband was kicked out of the military at 19 because of his behavior and the grandfather is almost a hermit . He avoids people because they make him mad . So he says. What do you all think ?
