I just read "Saving Sammy, Curing a Boy Who Caught OCD" by Beth Alison Maloney. She attributes her sons OCD to an underlying Strep infections, which I have heard in the past is thought to be related to OCD.
I asked to have a blood test run, an ASO test; I was told a normal test result is 150. My daughters level came back at 347. (She by the way is not sick with strep throat) Is anyone out there knowledgable enough to explain what exactly that may mean? I know the test result is considered "abnormal", but again, I am in the dark as th whether this is an alarming number or not, and what if anything should be done next?
