OCD in relationships

I love my boyfriend so much. I feel like I maybe obsessing over things but I don't know if it is my OCD or a normal argument. He hasn't told his parents about us yet. My anxious mind takes that as he might not want them to know or he's embarrassed. He just says he's more private and when tell them when he's ready. We have been together for about a year. Am I right to press the topic or is it my OCD and anxiety being annoying?

" About a year?? That seems to be plenty of time for him to bring it up. I don't think it is your OCD that is causing you anxiety here, but perhaps you need a heart-to-heart talk about whether he considers you his girlfriend or just a friend. I hope you can put the questions to rest soon. You deserve it. Hugs. "

" Perhaps a little of each but I agree a year is long enough for him to decide where your future together lies. Best wishes :) "

" Of course, if you don't know his parents, you don't know anything about them. They may not have a very good relationship, there could have been problems with the way they handled his girlfriends in the past, it may not be just HIS not wanting to say something.

I am not sure, but sometimes people don't introduce their lover to their family for reasons of protecting said lover.

I wouldn't push too hard, if he isn't telling you why, there may be a good reason, NONE of which is your fault. "
