Hey all. So I'm on vacation, backpacking trough Europe with my sister. Thought it would be relaxing but one trigger and I was done and this is a once in a liftetime opportunity here! I had one episode yesterday that I'm stuck on so thinking someone could help.

We were on a wine tour at the top of the steps of the celler and I got so caught up in my OCD i realized I was mouthing a couple of words as I was saying them in my head and I'd been thinking about "calling" good and evil. Afterwards and I realized I might have just "called"evil when I meant to "call" good to come to me or not. Its not the kind of place I can go back to and I realize people who do erp do much worse but I really can't stand the anxiety and it's a day later. Help if you can!

" Dont make yourself feel guilty for thinking this way. Telling yourself this is a once in a lifetime oppertunity & you're "ruining" it will only put pressure on yourself & make you feel worse. Accept the uncomfortable feelings and let it ride. They will fade eventually. Good luck. "

" I totally agree with Cbreezy! Making yourself feel even more guilty about ruining your vacation will only make the symptoms and thoughts worse. I know that when I have a build up to a huge event or something I look forward too, it sometimes has backfires and I end up having the worst time ever. It is hard to sit with uncomfortable feelings and expose yourself to those not nice intrusive thoughts. They do get better after time, but give it a bit more than a day or so. Stay strong, I think those of us with OCD are very resilient and are tougher than the average population because we deal with mental chaos everyday and can still manage to live fairly regular lives. You can do it!! Hang in there and message me anytime if you need to talk:) "
