Hi

I've been on this med now for 4 weeks and i've started getting severe mid back and chest pain, mimicking indegestion. It's so bad i 've been awake all night some nights with acid coming up in my throat and pains. During the day i have trouble eating due to the pain when i swallow, i have not experienced heartburn to this degree before. I'm starting to get worried
now as you can imagine being an ocder.
Could this be connected to the meds? I take 50mg right before going to sleep. I've googled it and it does seem to be one of the side effects, and others seem to have had it. Has anyone else experienced similar symptoms on this med or any other ssri? I'm thinking of stopping the tablets, but i'm not sure really what do.
Thankyou in advance.

" I took zoloft early this year, I have the same symptoms as you and I quit taking it after 2 weeks. I was disoriented and severe heartburn, I even take nexium, still heartburn, and it also gave me severe depression. Try some other alternatives. Zoloft and nexium were the first and only prescribed medicines I've taken in my life. After that, I managed to live without any medicines, and now I take health supplements, and practise Morita Shoma's method. It works great. "
