Sorry to bother anyone that has responded to me in the past; still struggling. since my divorce 18 months ago I have been experiencing depression, anxiety, depersonalization symptoms ( the feeling that you are outside yourself looking in) and my OCD has come back. Specifically I continue to have obsessive thoughts about suicide everyday although I don't believe I really want to do it. The depersonalization added in makes me feel so confused and more depressed. Does anyone think this is all just my OCD acting up due to my situation?

" I'm not an expert, but from what you said above you seem to have a lot of stress going on in your life. I've never been divorced, heck, I haven't even been married, but I can imagine that it must be difficult to deal with. I used to have intrusive suicidal thoughts too, and it was so scary for me. I know I didn't want to commit suicide, but I was so afraid that one day I would be so depressed that I would go through with it. Do you talk to a therapist at all? If you don't, I would recommend one, they would know how to handle your situation. Do you also take any medication? Although I'm having difficulties with medication at the moment, I found that some of the antidepressants worked pretty well for me for a few weeks and that the thoughts decreased drastically and I was able to be happy again. So I recommend talking to both a doctor and a therapist. I wish you luck with your situation, and just hang in there. You're not alone. "

" Brett1,
I have had the intrusive thoughts of suicide. Just to type that word scares me! It sounds like you are going through a extreamly tough time right now. The stress that you are under can cause these type of thoughts to intrude your mind. Just think of it like this......if you are questioning the thought then chances are that it is your OCD. OCD is all about the doubt. I wish you all the best and I will praying for you. You are not alone in this.
Blessings
Erica "
