City Council President, Eric Garcetti, will be presenting Michael Torchia, founder of Operation Fitness with a resolution from the City of Los Angeles for his work as a health expert and his Shape Up America Campaign. Torchia will receive this resolution marking August 1st, 2009 as an official "Health And Fitness Day" in Los Angeles. The presentation will take place on Friday, July 31st, 2009, 10:00 - 10:30am.
