Well, I have now reached the limit. I can no longer be psychically attractive to anyone. When I was thinner, I used to get looks. I never really had a beautiful face. My nicest feature, as I was told was my long hair, smile and legs. But now, I have thunder thighs, a nice bulge of a stomache, that could pass as looking pregnant from the sides. I have a small bust and now I have a double chin, if not careful to keep my head up when I smile. It stinks. I used to worry about my face and complexion and now It takes me forever to find something to wear.

About 2years ago, before my mom passed, I could fit into a 14. After she passed, I went to size 16 and now that size is tight. I have to shop in the plus size departments. But since my bust is on small side, my belly sticks out of everything or the top looks big and like I'm wearing maternity shirts. I am so ashamed, I let myself get to this weight. I wear the same few outfits to work, cause nothing looks good. I have to get fitted for a dress for sis's wedding and I am petrified, I will not look good at all but pregnant.

I want to loose weight but it is hard. Have kids and constantly on the go, also work pt, evenings and always grabbing fast food. Then, I turned to food for comfort when mom died. I would just stuff the food down, barely swollowing and nearly choked on several occaisions. I am scared and I need help and support. If I don't do something to change this, I will die choking on food, or on my feelings. It's not just about how I look, it's my health I worried about most. I eat so fast now, barely chew food and am prone to choking several times a week. I never imagined I would be in this situation. Rachele

" Hi, don't really know what to tell you, except for one thing..... You have put it all out here, and been honest with yourself and others, so now it is time to take action on it. Being honest with one's self is the first step in making any changes in life.

Good Luck!

" I read that you mentioned that you are constantly on the go. So it sounds as if you are running on adrenaline. This happens when our life is full of have to does and it seems like there is not enough time in a day to get it all done, so our bodies goes in high speed mode. If you are doing everything fast and eating fast as you say then you are running on high speed mode. May I suggest finding ways to slow down before your body takes you down. Just my 2 cents worth. "

" Spanx are a wonderful girdle type product that helps to suck in the belly, butt and thigh areas. They are VERY comfortable. Similar to panty hose but not digging.

It will help you to feel more comfortable with the wedding.

Other than this, try to focus on your good points. We all have them. If you have pretty hair, use it to your advantage. Make it your focal point. And keep that smile on your face, it will help lift your spirits and will draw people to you. "

" I am trying to keep positive, TRYING NOT TO LOOSE HOPE ON MYSELF. Loosing weight is ever so difficult when we age and it's hard to focus on just yourself, when you have a family. But I do need some time to take care of me.

Sockfuzz, thanks for the advice. Where do you get that product, online? I'm always afraid to wear girdles because they make put all your weight in one area and make you look bigger than what you are. I am nervous. The wedding is in March and I will be taking place of my deceased mom, for my youngest sister. I will need to get a gown, but I don't want an old lady gown, I'll be 40 next year for her wedding, but I'm still young. There are alot of pretty gowns, I was looking at online at David's Bridal, where we are going to pick dresses. I'm worried though, whether there will be any dresses in an 18 to try on.

I'm so scared. I want to loose some weight but I'm afraid I'll fail like all the other times, I had the desire but not the will. I am trying to focus on my good qualities like my hair, smile and eyes. My weight is not all in one area, so most don't know how much I actually weigh. They think I'm under 200lbs but I'm about 215 now and it shames me to even put this in writing. Afraid someone I know might find out. "

" Why don't you call the bridal shop ahead of time and ask if they have any gowns in your size and if not, could they order some to get there in time for the day you are going to try on gowns. In this economy I've heard that businesses are going to extra lengths to make a sale. might be worth a try. "

" hi Rachelle, i know how exactly you feel, trust me, about your size, what i would suggest, spanks , have a hair cut that makes you feel good, join any dance classes, plan your day to give you more time, stop the fast food immediately, and make sandwiches at home, it takes only 3 minutes. Fill your cupboard with fruits and just stuff them in your bag, so when you are on the run, you have fruits with you.

the best thing you have done is you joined this site, you can write feelings in your journals and trust me, it makes you feel better and you won't feel like eating.

Also, get an ipod or MP3 and download your favorite songs, so, you can listen to it, whenever you are, it make you feel better and dance with it. Let your children dance with you also.

For your sisters, wedding, visit this website http://www.sowhatif.com/ , it might help with ideas on the dresses that would suit.

I also have a small boobs, but big hanging tummy, I try to tug my tummy in, it helps, also, the exercise helps to.

I reduced white bread and felt my tummy reduced in inches, so try it. "

" Thank you both for the good ideas. A nice haircut or something might help. I was thinking of that. But calling the bridal shop, that I never thought of .What a great idea. Not no for nothing but the average woman is a size 12, so you think they'd have more bigger sizes, than the usual size 5. Couldn't hurt to try.

Right now I'm nursing my sore swollen ankles and heels. Always setbacks. I want to get to the gym but wating for some shots in feet tomorrow to get the swelling down, so I can walk. "

" No, I have not heard of that Littlemiss. I will have to look it up. Funny you should mention it because it has occurred all in the 2 years, since my mom suddenly died. I have always had insomnia but worse since mom died and then I would start eating at night to comfort myself. The feelings, fear, grief,,anxiety and being alone with all the feelings was too much to bare. I would eat at night and eat so fast, would hardly chew and start choking, or I woul awake choking from acid reflux or something.

It's been a hard 2 years, since mom died. I gained 25 pounds to top over 200 and it's hard enough to bare what I look like now, than to have to hear comments from people about the weight I gained.

A doctor I work for commented on it and so did my mother in law, stating if I lost weight my heel pain and swelling would go away. Well gee thinks, what do I do in the mean time till I LOOSE WEIGHT. People are so insensitive and it really hurts. I turned to food for comfort and now I have to hear people's crap. I don't need it! Don't they think I know all this. Feel like saying just mine your own fricken business!!! "
