I'm new here and come here much, but if anyone needs or wants a friend, feel free to message me. One person I was talking to and gave my email address to, I let them know it was okay to email me. Well they didn't, or so I thought. But I happened to check my spam folder and their email to me was in there from days ago. I quickly replied, but by then they had already either closed their email account or blocked me, probably thinking I was ignoring them or not wanting to be friends, which isn't the case at all. I just didn't know their mail had automatically been sent to my spam folder!
I tried messaging the person on here, and emailing again, etc. No word back. I think they maybe disappeared and I badly hope they didn't because of me. I feel really bad about it. If anyone else ever messages me and/or emails me and I don't get back to you for a few days, please don't take offense or think I'm blowing you off. I do have things like auto spam messing up and a deep depression that sometimes keeps me from dealing with email and all for a few days or more. But I try. Anyway, just thought I'd let people know. Hello, just read your post, I too was in a situation like this at one time. It was a little more intense, I had a friend, we called and texted at times. Well to make a long story short, she ended up telling me I was not a good friend, even though I had to kids and a job, and college, and a husband, she thought I should call or check in everyday.
She lived at home with her parents, and had no children, no job, no school! So that is why when I joined DS I left all my info private, and only let friends see what is going on in my life! I say don't worry about it, if your friend got upset, then she wasn't really a friend. We all have lives other than DS, we are here trying to support each other, but I think sometimes that is forgotten. Ss

I also had a very very needy friend here on DS and he felt that I should reply asap even though I am a mom to two children with autism. You can try and be here for people and offer support but true friendship means understanding and if a friend doesn't understand that things come up or mistakes are made then they were never your friend to begin with. Don't worry to much about what happend. Could just be that that particular person got caught up in life and sometimes that happens... maybe you are reading into it, maybe not. Don't worry about it and there are plenty of people on here to be friends with. Many hugs Denise

I feel bad for you and understand your situation in a sense. I have come across alot of good people online and only a select few I trusted enought to give my email and number to. I care very deeply about these people and yet, I don't have alot of time to talk to people. I barely get any housework done, get little sleep and am have to nap some days, cause I work evenings. Anyhow, my mom died almost 2 years ago and I hardly even speak or see my friends I had for years. I had some collegues, I used to work with who got insulted, saying I never return calls or answer my phone and I think they gave up on me. I tried to tell them, how deeply I have greived for nearly 2 years and I guess they didn't want to bother anymore. What can I do, only the best I can. I have many people calling me for work stuff, so I try to get to those calls first. Hope your situation gets resolved. I always worry people don't understand it's not that I don't care, but dealing with stuff, ya know.
