Weight and resting heart rate going DOWN.
On Monday, June 29, 2009 I went to see the doctor for follow up blood work. I've lost 5 pounds. I thought I was losing but don't trust my scale at home. Dressed, I'd lost at least 5 pounds. Maybe 6-7 without clothes. My resting BPM has lowered from 88 to 79.

I've only been journaling food logs for a few weeks here at DailyStrength and working out with a personal trainer once a week since June 3, 2009. It all started with setting a goal of losing 20" of waist. This is only a beginning but a grand beginning it is.

My personal trainer, Jen Waak, an RKC Kettlebell certified and Z Health certified instructor has helped me to begin to heal my body and move toward my goals. I'm so amazed at the changes in my body: the pain reduction, the increased mobility, the increased stability, the fat I've lost (maybe 10 pounds), the muscle I've gained (3-5 pounds), the improvement in my posture and my growing self-confidence. I have so much more energy and can't wait to swing the Kettlebells every week.

I hadn't imagined that they'd feel so good or bring me so much joy. Now I have to find the extra money to buy my own for use at home. For now, I am overflowing with gratitude and wanted to share it.
