Hi, I'm new to this group, you all seem really nice and I'm glad I found this place. I'm only 31 but I'm a very very big woman, homebound because of my extreme weight. I am starting to have a lot of health issues, and even though I try to eat better sometimes I always go back to my old ways. Now I am just trying not to gain anymore but its hard to stay motivated and I just keep gaining. Wondering if there is anyone else out there as hopelessly addicted as I am and what we can do about it.

Hi, and welcome to the group, Linda. I've been on Daily Strength for over a year now, and since I've been here I've lost some weight, but more important, I'm taking better care of my physical and mental health. I benefit a lot from the support I get here in the Obesity group and others. It's good to know that there are people going through similar things and can really understand from personal experience. I use my journal option here, too. It helps me to write down my thoughts and feelings I have relating to my weight and my health worries. You can set goals for yourself here and your friends can cheer you on and give you extra motivation. There are recipes you can check out, healthy ideas for snacks and desserts. I hope you find the support you need here - and I hope you feel comfortable to ask questions and start discussions with us. Again, welcome! Cheers - Susan
