" Def join the gym. Once you get going you will feel better emotionally. Hang in there and just keep going even if the results are high. You will feel better regardless:) "

" i've had a lifetime gym membership to bally's total fitness and havent been in years. Tried after having my 2 kids and then stopped. I used to go the the gym 5 times a week in college. I gained 35lbs AFTER HAVING MY KIDS and ANOTHER 30lbs in past 2 years, following my mom's sudden death. I hate the way I look, my face and body and a number on the scale, i thought i'd never be, let alone pass.

I want to try the gym again. Now, i worry not what i will wear but what i will be able to do. I have painful swollen heels, when I stand or walk for an hour. What could I do at the gym? Any ideas? I thought maybe the recumbent bike and also some machines. I wathced The Doctors this morning and fitness expert said to do things that build mucle so you can burn the fat. He stressed building the muscle, as opposed to burning calories and doing that hour of aroebic activity that trainers always stress. "

" When I started back at the gym, I started slow and easy-just did the recumbent bike, once a day, for about 30 min max. I slowly built my legs up, and started walking at night as well-nothing big, no speed walking, just leisure walking. That was 24 months ago, and now I use the Elliptical Machine-best there is for minimum impact on your joints, and gives you a great workout. Took me a while to build up to it, but now I can really go at it. Take your time, and do it slow! "

" I found a great gym for me. It's not full of model-types and muscle men. It's just people like me. "

" I'm doing Z Health rehabilitation and RKC Kettlebell training. I've gone in one month from not being able to walk across a room without feeling like I was going to die from the pain to 30 minute hikes where my dog and kid couldn't keep up with me.

The Z Health, R Phase exercises aren't really exercise but a system to re-educate my nervous system, repair damage and restore mobility and stability. When I had my daughter, I became an invalid for two years and didn't move much. This creates something called Somatic Motor Amnesia. Our body tells our brain, "hey, we don't need that muscle." With the Z Health maneuvers, which are very gentle and can be done seated or laying down if your feet are hurting, the brain gets the message, "we need these muscles, turn them back on." In only one session of these cutting edge neuroscience inspired movements, I was feeling a lot less pain and having an easier time moving.

After 2 sessions of Z Health, I started lifting/swinging Kettlebells with the help of my personal trainer, Jen Waak. http://www.dragondoor.com/wz02.html Her picture is second from the right on the bottom row. She is certified through RKC and in Kettlebell instruction and in Z Health. She teaches me how to do the movements, corrects me so that I don't get injured and get the most return on my efforts. http://www.dynamicchiropractic.ca/...

Kettlebells are an aerobic workout and crazy fast muscle building strength training all rolled into one. Just 10 minutes of the first exercise changed my body all week long. I'm working up to 10-15 minutes 2-3 times a week. Many elite athletes are giving up their gym memberships for RKC Kettlebell instructors. Simply put, more muscle, more functional movement in much, much less time. http://kettlebility.com/content/about

As a busy mom I don't have time for the gym but I can find time for Z Health (1-5 minutes) or Kettlebells (5-15 minutes). I did the research about how to best heal my body, banish obesity forever and attain a body that will meet the plans I have for my future. For the last month I've been working out and can't believe how far my results have surpassed my expectations. Good luck on your fitness and health journey and let us know how we can help.
