" I would probably the first thing would be to have a check up with your doctor and do a complete blood count of tests. Some of your symptoms might be do to the medications you are taking. Sometimes things a person has been taking for awhile can cause problems. If everything checks out ok your doctor might recommend you see a therapist that deals with depression, anxiety and so on.

Take it one day at a time and I am sure once you get everything all checked out things will start to change for the better for you:) "

" I agree with katiebell. Time for a trip to the doctor! If you are anemic that explains a lot. No wonder you are tired and unmotivated. You could be my sister judging by your post. You are the same age. She has type II diabetes, is anemic. I don't know about the menopause but you won't know til you go to the doc. On her days off she might go do something like a meal with friends or a movie but mostly she just sleeps. I know she doesn't feel good. She doesn't take her iron for the anemia and her blood sugar is pretty much controled with medication but when she gets to feeling low she even slacks on that some which is so dangerous.

So time for a trip to the doc for blood tests. They can check your sugars and iron and see if you are deficiant (sp) in vitamin D or anything else that might make you feel better! If nothing else you'll feel better that you have taken control of it and I think once you do that maybe the weight will start coming off on it's own. Maybe your doc will even send you to a nutritionist or something to help you out.

You are lucky to have such a supportive girlfriend. That is great. Take care of yourself so you can keep her around :) I'd like to know how it goes with the doc so please keep us posted! I really hope you start feeling better soon!!! "

" humm.. well, diabetes is almost unheard of in the vegetarian/vegan community so you could try that. if you want a higher sex drive eat foods that contain more zinc (usually dark green veggies). I don't advocate hormone replacement AT ALL, but soy is GREAT for menopause and will naturally help increase your estrogen. "

" I recommend too, that you see your doc and talk about depression. I have been excersizing so much more since I have been on antidepressants. It is so hard to get things done when you are unmotivated. Just remember that you are worth what ever effort it may take to take care of yourself. "
