My husband and I are both overweight. I have been making a conscious effort to improve our eating habits at home (ex: cooking low fat, low cholesterol, low calories foods). I am seriously concerned about my husband's eating outside of the home. I honestly believe he is addicted to fast food. When I tried to discuss this with him, he blew up at me. He's the one that brings up what he ate for lunch and it just turns my stomach. Even when he and co-workers go to a deli, he leaves with chicken fingers and french fries. A "good" lunch day is when he says he has chinese food, at least I know he had some vegetables! He doesn't want to change his eating habits. How can I learn to function without getting a gut wrenching feeling every time he says "Wendy's?" I'm afraid for his health.
