I currently go to the Gym 5-6 times a week, and have just brought a pair of bathers, ( ugh ) any way i am not a really confident swimmer so anyone have any ideas what i could do in the pool that would burn some calories?
All thoughts appreciated.

" Swimming laps, for one, is a great cardio workout. I've also known some people who do aerobics in water, since its lower impact and more resistance. I'd suggest finding a good aerobic video (you can rent them at some places, and they are on netflix, if you don't want to buy one) pick some workouts that you like, practice them on land, then once you think you've got the routine down, take it to the pool. "

" Goggles are a good idea, especially if you plan on doing a lot of laps. Chlorine can irritate your eyes after a while. I love swimming. Enjoy it. It's one of the more fun exercises you can pick. "
