I had a shot of cortisone injected into my wrist to treat tendonitis in my thumb about 10 days ago. Since then, the pain has subsided, but I'm feeling even more bloated in my stomach than usual, I'm having really negative thoughts/depression, and I even got my period out of the blue, which is something I hardly ever get anymore. I'm in such a bad state of mind that I feel like all the hard work I've been striving for is being replaced with negativity and self hatred again. I'm feeling really out of control. I am wondering if this could have been triggered by the shot, or if I'm just reaching really really far. I hate my belly so much :(

is cortisone a steroid? If so my sister was having routine shots and blew up, but it all went away when she stopped treatment. I got my period out of the blue too today. Is it a full moon?

oh and the mood and period could be just a sign your hormones are fluctuating. My mom had a hysterectomy, but swears she still gets hormonal fluctuations once a month.
