" Hi Yoho, the first step is finding out what stage you are at, and then you will discuss a treatment plan. I finished my treatment in Jan. I was stage 1 and did chop and radiation. The worst part was losing my hair. This was my second time around. Learn all you can about the type of NHL you have and don't be afraid. You will be Ok.

Steph "

" Hi Yoho, they had to do cat scans and a Pet scan to confirm the stage. Then I had to get more blood work before the chemo started. It took about 2 weeks before I started. The treatments were every 3 weeks. It's not to bad.
Keep us posted on your Dr. visit. "

" I did not have a clue what to ask the 1st visit.. I was Dx 11-7-08, i have been in remission since may 09 and seeing the Dr. again tomorrow for results from last friday scan. The standard treatment is r-chop, i did r-chop and radiation and do believe it is back... but, just a thing. Like steph said, the treatments are not that bad, definately not as bad as you think they are going to be. "

" I did learn a few tricks for the 2nd round that I will share with you so you can be prepared for round one...
Get some mounthwash called Prevention. It is with the regular mouthwash at the pharmacy. It is an oncology product to reduce the risk of getting mouth sores. I used it and never got any.
Senecot S (dont forget the S)- you will figure that one out...LOL
The first few rounds are usually not bad. My immune system dropped severly after round one and I was stuck in the house, but its just a thing girl. Remember with everything that happens, this too shall pass..
You are in my prayers and in Gods hands. It will all be over soon and just a foggy memory. "
