I have a friend who's three year old son was diagnoised last year with burkitts lymphomia. I would like to send her here for support but want to make sure this community is very active. I have seen some post at the top of the page and they look to be months old. If this is not a very active community could anyone please guide me to where she would be able to go. I would greatly appreciate it.

Please tell your friend I had Burkitt's Lymphoma as a 32 year old guy, and whilst quite rare I know of 2 others who also had it when I was in hospital. Mine was in the neck area, the other 2 guys had it in the stomach. All 3 of us had the treatment and are all fit and well today. I am wondering if you would help me to help others...I am a 1st yr nursing student & I chose Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma to research because my dad had it. My goal is to gather information for people who are newly diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Could you give me any advice? I would appreciate it so much! I haven't really been part of this community long, so I can't tell you how active it is. But, I know people here on DS are generally very supportive and active.
I had Burkitt's Lymphoma when I was seven. It's very treatable, even though it's a tough journey. It's one of the fastest growing cancers and one of the fastest to cure.
