" I've only had two cycles of chemo to date. One of my tumors was/is restricting my ureter, so while under a general anesthetic for my biopsy my urologist inserted a stent to preserve my kidney. My oncologist wanted to see (via CAT scan) whether that tumor has reduced enough for the stent to be removed. FIngers crossed. I expect results on Monday!! Thank you for asking.
How are you feeling? "

" I'm really sorry to hear that your retirement has started off this way! Did you have lots of stomach aches prior to being diagnosed? Please stay as positive as possible - I understand (and know) how hard it is to stay upbeat when facing this challenge. Please keep your chin up and take care!! "

" My wife was diagnosed with indolent follicular NHL Stage IVB in November 2011. She had 6 cycles of R-CHOP and 2 cycles of maintenance Rituxan. In late August 2012 a CT scan showed 50% increase in lymph node size. PET scan SUV was 6. Next week she starts Treanda/Rituxan treatment for the relapse. I'd like to hear from anyone in a similar situation. "

" Well, my story is developing a bad cold that I couldn't get over and went in for an x-ray and came out with low-grade non-follicular Stage IV NHL. I went through over a year of CHOP, followed the next year by oral chemo which didn't work; surgery and radiation on a large node in my neck; now in my third round of Rituxan.
I know that it can be frustrating, frightening and exhausting but I believe that everything happens for a reason and every day is a blessing. Grab onto every moment and opportunity. I was given 5-7 yrs and I am 16 years out. Be your own best advocate and be kind to yourself. Rest when you are tired. Eat when you are hungry and laugh til your sides hurt. You are stronger than you ever thought. "

" My wife Gretchen was diagnosed with indolent follicular NHL Stage IVB in November 2011. She had 6 cycles of R-CHOP and 2 cycles of maintenance Rituxan. In late August 2012 a CT scan showed 50% increase in lymph-node size. PET scan SUV was 6. Gretchen started Treanda (Bendamustine)/Velcade/Rituxan treatments for the relapse. After completion of two of 6 cycles she had another PET scan yesterday. It showed significant decreases in both lymph-node size and activity.when compared to her September 2012 PET scan. Next Monday Gretchen starts into cycle three. We both think chemotherapy and prayer has helped her progress. "
