Hi my name is ange and I have had a lump in my right groin for about a year and a half. I am finally going to get it biopsied. What I was wondering with my symptoms of severe itching, intermitant fevers, night sweats, and weight loss is if you all think this could be lymphoma. I do take an immunosuppressant for addisons and i know that carries a higher risk, I was just wondering about your thoughts and if it is lymphoma about what to do. I will also be here for others.

" The only advice I have is to go have it checked out... asap! and once you know, you attack it and do whatever the docs tell you to do! No sense in guessing, just find out and do what you need to do! you are your #1priority! Good luck to you! "

" mine was my left groin area & I had pretty much the same systems. Get it biopsied and removed at once... I just finished my last chemo and start radiation in two days... BUT all cancer cells are gone now. "

" hi Terri, I am having my surgery next Friday t hank you so much for replying. I was wondering what other symptoms you had. My lump it totaly painless. I noticed the lump about 2 years ago and it was a size of a pea, now it is the size of a very large grape thats the only way I can explain it. I have lost about 60 pounds in the last two years and I haven't been even really trying. I am worried. The itching is my biggest symptom, it is terrible, I scratch myself raw. hope to hear from you. Thanks again. Oh yeah what kind of lymphoma do you have/ and what stage, that is if you want to tell me. "

" I did not notice my lump until it was pretty good size. It was also painless. I did not have the weight loss but that is a warning sign of lymphoma. I also did not have the itching but they do always ask me about that. DO NOT get to overwhelmed by all this. Lymphoma is a very treatable cancer. At first I was diagnosed with stage one and it was later diagnosed as stage 3. I did 4 rounds of R-Chop chemo and they had all of the cancer cells gone after 2 rounds.I am going to do 17 days of radiation just to be on the safe side. Don't get me wrong, none of this is easy. It is hard on you phyiscally and emotionally. But you can get through it. 1/2 of the recovery is a positive attitude. There is treatment and you can survive this. "

" Hi Ange, my name is Sherry. My best advice is to get the biopsy, find out the diagnosis, then
take it one day at a time. Don't rule out a second opinion either, never hurts to have another Dr. look at your reports.
Good luck and God Bless you. "
