MY DAY WAS AWESOME. SHELLEY AND I HAD A GREAT TIME. WE WENT TO KOHL'S AND BOUGHT SHOES THEN HEADED TO GRAND RAPIDS FOR THE APPT. BOY THAT CITY IS A MESS WITH ROADS CLOSED AND CONSTRUCTION EVERYWHERE. TODAY STARTED ON THE ROUGH EDGE. I WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE FOR KALAMAZOO TO GO TO THE CARDIOLOGIST FOR MY STRESS TEST RESULTS. THE PHONE RANG AND IT WAS CATHY TELLING ME THAT SHE WAS ON THE WAY TO CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL WITH BRAYDEN. My daughter's surgery is Thurs. I don't know if I am ready for it, but it's coming regardless. One bright spot is that tomorrow Cathy and Brayden will be here! I had a good week end. I went throug my first round of CHOP-R today. I was a little nervous getting in to this, but things went well. I handled the Rituxan with no side effects. I got a little chilly, but I think that was the room because everyone was commenting on it.
My church gave me a prayer blanket to cover me during the treatment and it wrapped me in more than just warmth.

it's great to have a "better day". I was beginning to wonder if better days had become a thing of the past for me. Shelley's appointment yesterday with the radiation oncologist went very very well. We both liked her so much and she spent oodles of time with us and answered all our questions. Shelley felt better when we left. WHILE I WAS AT THE ONCOLOGIST WITH SHELLEY YESTERDAY, THE DOCTOR DECIDED TO GIVE ME GEORGE'S RESULTS SO THAT WE DON'T HAVE TO WAIT TWO WEEKS FOR THEM! HE IS STILL CLEAR........SO THAT WAS GREAT NEWS.
