    Thursday, February 28, 2008 | A Positive story

I have had a very long stress-filled day, but I lived through it! And at the eleventh hour my brother helped me save my house. I haven't been able to live there for 2 years. The insurance co refused to play by the rules and live up to their obligations. I have been fighting with them and just filed for mediation. If I lose the house then they don't have to pay the claim. So I told them ov...

  • FINALLY SOME HELP

    Thursday, June 19, 2008 | A Positive story

FINALLY.................would you believe that the oncologist called Shelley at 9/pm tonight? She said that she has been so busy all day and appologized for now calling earlier but she just couldn't get a break all day. She talked to the surgeon today and then she talked to a hematologist that works in the cancer clinic where she has her office. They all decided how to handle the surgery. She...

    Saturday, June 28, 2008 | A Positive story

I have been so excited all week, making plans to remodel my home in Georgia. I just pray that all will go smoothly and our house here in Michigan will sell in the spring. I would love to move RIGHT NOW....but this all takes time. I can't wait to be rid of the snow and ice of winters in Michigan. I have started a scrapbook of ideas for the house down there. I can't wait to begin!! The hous...

  • A BETTER DAY

    Thursday, August 7, 2008 | A Positive story

it's great to have a "better day". I was beginning to wonder if better days had become a thing of the past for me. Shelley's appointment yesterday with the radiation oncologist went very very well. We both liked her so much and she spent oodles of time with us and answered all our questions. Shelley felt better when we left. Oh she is still having a hard time with the whole situ...

    Tuesday, September 30, 2008 | A Positive story

Feeling a bit more positive today. Had to get up early and go to Kalamazoo with George. I hope he did well on his stress test. We will know next week. It took 2 1/2 hours and when he was finished we were both starving. We were going to come straight home but the Cracker Barrel called our name when we passed by so we turned in and ate a late breakfast. When we got home, Shelley came and we did mor...

  • Under the Circumstances

    Wednesday, March 25, 2009 | A Positive story

As you all know, life has been rather a difficult road for me for the past few months. Many things I have shared with all of you...while other things I have kept to myself. It has been very very difficult to even talk about some of the heartaches that I have had to deal with, but you know, I'm still here! I have survived and I will continue to survive as long as I always know who is walking b...

  • The first treatment

    Tuesday, May 19, 2009 | A Positive story

I went throug my first round of CHOP-R today.  I was a little nervous getting in to this, but things went well.  I handled the Rituxan with no side effects.  I got a little chilly, but I think that was the room because everyone was commenting on it.

    After that, the rest was...
