I wanted to share this story with all of you as many of you are inspirational to me.
The Olympic Torch arrived in Canada yesterday and one of the Torch bearers was a teenager from Victoria, BC who has NF. Jeneece Edroff was chosen to light the cauldron at the legislature (canadian equivalent of a state capital) because she is an inspiration to so many people. Only 15, she has raised over $1.5 million dollars for Children's Charity that helps children with special needs through a penny drive (that's a lot of pennies!) She didn't even know if she would be able to do the Torch Run because she had just had yet another surgery (her 9th) on her back. I proudly showed my son (who has NF) the story of Jeneece as I think she is an inspiration to him and to many others. www.jeneece.com Posted on 10/31/09, 02:10 pm |

Thank you for that! I'm a Canadian, in Ottawa, and I had no idea. What a wonderful young lady. I can't wait to show my daughter.
