does anyone ever forget the simplest tasks?
i try to remind myself to call people and get things done and then just end up forgetting. i joke with my husband and call them my nf moments but sometimes it really makes me wonder how i can go into the grocery store wanting to buy two things and come out with 15 other things than what i went in to buy. it is not a big deal but i was just wondering if anyone else has gaps in memory and is forgetful thanks and hugs to all Posted on 08/28/09, 08:08 pm |

I have NF, and I forget things all the time. I even make lists so I won't forget, and then forget the lists.

Maggie, you too?? I find that doing some sort of puzzles seems to help. Penny Press Magazines have great deals where you can purchase a variety pack of just a few or up to forty back issues for about a buck an issue. Again, they are back issues but since one current issue is usually five or six dollars, I don't mind buying the back issues. Just an idea. Let me how it works.

Maggie, you too?? I used to feel pretty smart. Not so much anymore. But, I try to do some sort of puzzles everyday to help. After all, the brain is a muscle, so if you don't use it, you'll lose it. Try Penny Press magazines, they usually have an order form where you can order like forty back issues for less than forty bucks. I usually buy two or three value packs at the beginning of the year, and they last all year long. Just an idea. Let me know how it works for you.

My mind is pretty sharp.... I have a good memory and good with numbers. Now.. having said that, I have no sense of direction.
I get lost... If I do not drive somewhere but 1 or 2 times a year, I have a hard time finding it again... However, Me and my TomTom are great friends, I play with it a lot, and it never lets me down.... Ooopss.. that does not sound quite right.. Also, I am not good with Names... we have over 150 people in our Department and if I had to name them all... I would fail... Of course, that may be normal and not a NF thing.

I am the last person in the world you'd want to get directions from. I'd get lost going to my mailbox. I'm a little better with names, but not much. So you're right, it may or may not be an NF thing.

now a days i am lucky if i remember my home number sometimes lol i think i try to do too many things at once and that is what does it to me and sends this nf brain of mine to short circuit. oh well, NASA will never hire me and that is ok.
