Doeshaving cosmetic surgery (not pertaining to NF) make NF worse? For example if I were to get my hairline lowered would that make more growths appear? Has anyone here (or know of anyone)that has ever had cosmetic surgery not due to NF?

" You need to talk to the Woofman. He recently had a face lift. Personally, if I had the money to have plastic surgery, I would have the bumps removed. I couldn't care less about the wrinkles. Everyone gets those. "

" I don't think having surgery makes new bumps grow.... as far as getting bumps removed.... I think that as long as the entire tumor is removed and the blood supply that was feeding it is cut off, then it should not come back. it may also depend on the person. I just had a couple removed about 10 days ago, so i guess i will have to wait and see what happens with those. I think a lot of Doctors will tell you that the tumors might come back because they don't want to deal with removing them... it depends on the doctor... mine had no problem agreeing to remove them... " I have never had one "come back" after it was removed. I have had more come on after that. But I would probably have gotten them anyway. "
