Neurofibromas

Hi everyone,
just after some advice.
I spent all yesterday in hospital with my 2yr old as he has been having very heavy nose bleeds for the past few months.
The Dr's put a camera up his nose and have found something.. they aren't sure what it is and said it may be a tumor (the german Dr's use the word tumor for any kind of lump), so we ahve to go back on Wed for more tests.
We are hoping it is just an inflammed blood vessel.
Does anyone know if you can get neurofibroma's in the nose ? my son already has a plexiform neurofibroma in the floor of his mouth.
Many thanks
Emma xx

" Im sure it's possible, but it seems nowadays drs don't know much themselves... I'd keep a close eye on it and see.Perhaps if the nose bleeds don't stop,I'd keep going to the dr till something is done. "

" What type of doctor did he see? An ENT? All my fibromas have been on the back of my head. "

" Hi, thanks for the replies..
my son saw an ent, the same one he saw when he was diagnosed with a neurofibroma in his mouth.
If the 'lump' is still there on Wed then they will operate and remove it and do a biopsy.. just hoping it's an inflammed blood vessel.
Will let you know what happens..
thanks xx "
